Student Recognition

• Academic Letter

  Recognition ceremony in the fall honoring students who earned a 4.0 or above grade point average (GPA) for both semesters the previous year. Students receive letters, pins, certificates, and a treat from the Wheeler Cookie Factory. This letter is the same one given to students who letter in a sport, except it has the lamp of knowledge symbol. Students who repeat the academic accomplishment receive a lamp pin to place on their letter the second year, and a bar pin the third year, to recognize that no matter how high their teachers set the bar, they always ascended to it.

  The annual ceremony honoring the 2011-2012 recipients was held on September 18, 2012 at 7PM in the Wheeler Auditorium.

• Prinicipal's Honor Roll

  Academic Recognition is given to those students who obtain a 4.0 GPA or higher for an individual semester.

• Honor Roll

  Academic recognition for students who earned a 3.75 to 3.99 GPA for an individual semester.

  Challenging All To Succeed Award is given to students nominated by their classroom teachers for significant improvement in grades, attendance, or exceptional attitude.

• Above and Beyond Teacher

  Academic Booster Club is the proud sponsor of the teacher recognition program - Above and Beyond Teacher Award. Teachers are nominated by parents and students for going "above and beyond" by giving their time and talents to help and encourage Wheeler students. The award recognizes teachers who are always willing to work hard to bring recognition to Wheeler and to support ideas which improve our school and its reputation in the community.
